All A Corgi Wants For Christmas - Blog Hop

At this time of year we try to be kind with our words and generous with our love.
I think that Jozi "believes" that Santa will bring her toys of every shape and kind to replace the ones that she has literally destroyed....no stuffed toy stands more than a chance of 2 minutes and she is un-stuffing it....

So, she has been resting up for her long winter's nap in hopes that St. Nick will bring her new toys!

I cherish these "quiet" times...so few and far between

She gave me her list the other day and told me to give it to Santa......
Jozi's List
Treats....lots of treats
A New Comfy Bed (stuff-less OF COURSE)
A Christmas Sweater (she indicated SOLID color only -- no fun in my opinion)
MORE treats....of course
A treadmill like the one she saw on The Daily Corgi.....
A "fun" place for the cats to go so that she can have a vacation day.... uh..NO!
A puppy sister or brother so she has someone to play with....
Peanut butter and MORE peanut butter....
Snow pants to protect her "pants" in the deep snow (when we have snow)
Squeeky toys that drive mom and dad crazy
A cooool Corgi balloon!
A FULL day of fun at CSS with Renee!
Oh, and she said MORE treats...AGAIN ... baroooooooo!!!

  1. Really nice post. I'm glad Jozi took part in this hop.

I am noticing a pattern with the lists of gifts our pets are requesting. They are not content with just one present, they want dozens of them :)

    1. Jozi wants to know what ONE PRESENT really means....does it mean that she will get one everyday up until and then after Christmas? She does not understand this concept of "just one present". LOL
She also wants LOTS of treats too!

  2. Hi. I got here by way of Laura VAB's CIA's Agent Files blog. I have yet to hear of anyone who has Corgis who DON'T immediately unstuff toys. I think it's a required breed trait, isn't it? My pup has always been an unstuffer, but he is the first I've had who does this. My other dogs were mostly uninterested in toys. During Barnum's adolescence we called him "the shark."

    1. Yes, we tend to call Jozi the "destroyer" and she even has a few pictures of her caught in the act so we can post them to the DogShaming site one day....

  3. Most of my dogs have been pretty good with their stuffed toys. Occasionally my lab would get devilish and just decide one day that she wanted to eat their faces. (My father used to joke that it was job security since she was my guide dog and always went for the eyes first.) My current shepherd, Uschi, is absolutely a terror with any toy regardless of what it is. She doesn't necessarily mean to destroy them, but she does.

EDIT: Oh, captcha, so evil. :-(

    1. Jozi is just too smart for her own good and has to always have "a job" to do and she works her hardest to de-stuff and destroy all toys...it's her job she believes!

  4. OH MY GOSH what is it with you people and your puppies.. those poor things, you dress them? NOW wait I can understand the snow pants, puppies here need them, plus snow booties .. maybe I can get my Hooomans to send you to go with your FABulous new pants (blinking in a ridiculous fashion and batting my femalE hooooman to come and read) she has to read this ... a tread mill? HEY do not get any ideas.. *nipping at her knuckles* I SLEEP all day, deal with it!

      Is that food?
Is that something that I can use to scare the kitties on my watch?

    1. Ashley,
Jozi says "I think it is more that mom wants me to have a treadmill....I don't really much care, I'd rather have treats and frap all day long and chase the kitties!"
We wish you luck in the upcoming giveaway for Bear and Donatello! Too bad they can't be with you and play in the snow!

you are too lucky to have pups that play "nicely"...maybe I should send Jozi your way and your pups can train her to play nice?

  9. What a cute girl!

I don't know if you've seen these, but while there is no such thing as an indestructible toy, we know! I have found that Bamboo dog toys last longer than most anything else in my house, and my dogs love them. My blog hop post has a picture of my Doberman tackling a huge dinosaur version, but they come in all sizes!

And I have no affiliation or affiliate links, I just feel your toy-destuffing pain. ;-)

    1. Oh Laura...we have TRIED these toys and she was able to take all the threads out of the toys, she ripped off the sides of it and unstuffed it in less than an hour...I SHOULD HAVE KNOWN she was doing something bad, she was TOO quiet!
I am always on the lookout for toys that are "safe" for her so if you have any other suggestions, we would most gladly look into them.
Thanks so much and Good Luck on the upcoming giveaway! WOOF!

Jozi is very reluctant to acknowledge that she is not the only "kid" in our family that is getting gifts...

    2. Oh, Cat, my babies are getting plush toys with squeakers and without. They are getting balls and mice with feathers, a new Drinkwell water fountain bowl, and many treats. They get spoiled all year round, but Christmas they get a stocking to unwrap.
