The two kitty cats are still trying to get used to this new little arrival in our household. Neither of them are really quite sure if this new puppy is here to stay. They sit on the stairs and watch her and when Jozi gets near either of them there usually is a battle of paws or a running-fest-chasing-fest through the house, up the stairs, etc...
Maddy usually has this blank stare look when investigating if and when this new puppy is EVER going to leave so she can be the baby-of-the-house again........
I always tease Jozi because she smells like a dog and not a cute and cuddly puppy even though I guess I'm not really sure what a puppy should smell like....
She's so low to the ground that I'm sure that contributes to the wet grass smell especially since we have been having really cold evenings that inhibits wet grass mornings.
Either way, she got her bath this week and this is her 3rd bath and I finally grabbed the camera when daddy was bathing her and snapped a few photos.
Wet puppy...
Sudsy puppy...
Tolerant puppy...
We just LOVE her!
Today is the tenth anniversary of 9/11.
So many lives lost...
So many families left empty...
So many volunteers who sacrificed to help...
On this day, remember where you were the moment you heard about this tragedy, say a little prayer for mankind in the hopes that we never have to experience this type of a tragedy ever again and give thanks for our furry friends that offer us comfort, solace and wet kisses.
So many dogs that volunteered after 9/11 to help in heart-wrenching recovery efforts will never be forgotten. All a dog wants to do is work hard and give back to their owner. Love them unconditionally....always.
I was reading where Corgis love vegetables and some of them that were recommended were zucchini, squash and carrots so we decided to try carrots today and Jozi LOVES them and it keeps her relatively quiet for about 3 minutes while she chomps and chews and nuzzles through the bits and pieces of that orange "treat"..... much better for her than too many puppy treats!
