First, our Saturday started with a walk at the Crohn's and Colitis annual meetup not far from our home!
We met some friends there and Jozi got some extra lovin and attention, saw some clowns with really BIG shoes painting kiddies faces, a BIG bounce house that had the short legged girl shaking a bit from fright as she watched the kids jumping up and down, a few other pups that were not as friendly (so we stayed our distance after the first growl-walk by), a trove of leftover popcorn that the vacuum cleaner-Jozi took care of quickly, a long walk down a trail following lots of other people walking for the cause and the niece of one of our friends got to hold Jozi's leash for the last leg of the walk and Jozi kept looking back at me like she was saying "why are you holding my leash mom?" Jozi did SO good overall and is getting better being around crowds of people.
No pics of Jozi from this walk, she wouldn't even look at me, her mind was so busy watching everybody else, but I did get a chance to take some quick pics of two cuter-than-a-button sisters having their faces painted by some very patient clowns and then sitting together with love in their eyes and smiles and sparkles on their faces. Just so sweet that I could not miss taking their photos!
On Sunday morning, we went to a local farmer's market and did some walking, some looking and some quick and inexpensive buying.
We saw two other corgis (bonus!) and Jozi got to wander through the park and enjoy the warm weather and all the sights and sounds of the market, albeit without stray popcorn for her eat....thank goodness!
It's still too early to get too many fresh veggies but we picked up a few yummy veggies and saw other great items.....
Jozi also took some time out to pose on the park bench (for just a moment though).......
How was your weekend? Did you do anything special or fun or exciting? We'd love to hear about it!
Peace, Love, Barks and Treats Forever, Cat
