Blog The Change 4 Animals

I am teaming with Team BtC and others that care about animals in need today and for tomorrow in hopes that this blog post and this cause will not be needed in the years to come.

I live a very long way from Imperial Valley Humane Society but they are doing what is right for those fur kids that are lost and have been wronged.  This is a shelter that is a community effort that hangs by the string of its faith, love and hope that animals should be safe during their transition to a forever home.  I found out about this shelter through a FB contest last year that was awarding monetary prizes to shelters that received the most votes.  Imperial did not win, but the contest did bring them more readership and more exposure to their cause.
At the Imperial Valley Humane Society, they believe it is important to place as many adoptable pets as they possibly can into loving forever homes.  Their mission is "To better the community for both the people and the animals by placing as many stray, abandoned, and unwanted pets into loving forever homes and to educate the people of the community about the pet overpopulation and the importance of controlling it through spaying, neutering, and adopting".

They are a private, not-for-profit agency that relies on adoptions and charitable giving to maintain the shelter.

A shelter should do what the word entails..."shelter those from the elements and feed the body and soul of those lost and forgotten"...

I'm proud to be spreading the word about BtC and about Imperial Valley Humane Society and hope that everyone knows that our pets are our lives and they count on us each and every day to keep them safe...and it is up to us to make up for the people in the world that think less of animals and stand up and fight for the animals that did nothing to deserve the fate of cards that they have been dealt.  Make a difference today and use your voice, your keyboard, your funds and your heart to change the lives of animals that are truly in need.
I'm also proud to tweet and share the many animals in the many shelters that in so many ways should NOT be shelters but instead be closed forever from the atrocities that they are known for.
In one particular shelter, an animal advocate Maria Sanchez has risked life, heart and limb to save the unwanted from dying.  You can read all about Maria here at her FB Save The Squishies

There are so many other people and places that are working tirelessly behind the scenes to make things happen for animals in need and if you know of a great cause and would like us to know about them, write us a comment so we can check it out and possibly promote their good work here on the blog.

Peace, Love, Barks and Treats Forever,
